Original language description
IPFIXcol is a flow collector based on IPFIX protocol. The collector receives messages in IPFIX format from network probes in number of protocols, such as TCP, UDP and SCTP. Support for other protocols can be readily added through input plugins. The collector was designed to be used for storage testing and assessment, therefore it supports storage plugins. These plugins receive preprocessed data from the collector and are able to store them in number of formats or send them over network for further processing. The collector is written in C language and is designed to run on GNU/Linux operating systems. The plugins are designed as shared libraries with C language interface.
