Original language description
For nearly five years, the Czech national grid and cloud infrastructure MetaCentrum has been using its own version of open source TORQUE resource manager and scheduler. Since MetaCentrum is rather large, distributed and heterogeneous system with many users, it is necessary for both users and system administrators to have some reasonable monitoring tool. Therefore, beside the TORQUE, we have been also developing our own monitoring and accounting system called PBSMon. Simply put, PBSMon is our free alternative to commercial products like PBS Analytics. Throughout the years, PBSMon became very complex and powerful system. It is used on daily basis by both the users as well as system administrators. Compared to standard command line tools like qstat, PBSMon offers more user-friendly interface, naturally integrating the outputs of many data-providers. Thus, it is very useful bot for regular work (preparation of job submissions) as well as for system monitoring, tuning and debugging.
