Original language description
The new version of the NEMEA modular system was created to add support for the use of machine learning in network traffic analysis and security threat detection. The core of the system has been redesigned to increase stability during real-time connection and disconnection of NEMEA modules. The UniRec binary format has been extended with the ability to represent information vectors. Furthermore, the set of available NEMEA modules was expanded with efficient filtering and aggregation of IP flow data in real time and new detection NEMEA modules were created. The developed new version of the NEMEA system can be used for research purposes and is also production-deployed to analyze network traffic of the CESNET2 network.
