  • Original language description

Socio-economic status (SES), as well as life-style and life-conditions, together are the factors which cannot be ignored providing an epidemiological research. The aim of the study was to identify those factors, which are of the highest interest in, epidemiological studies being presented in the ISEE Conferences during the last 3 years. Using the ISEE proceedings the identified factors were divided into 3 categories - SES, life-style (with a sub-category of risk factors) and housing/life , conditions. The data were analysed looking at the frequency, proportion and trends. In total 1.550 abstracts were analysed; the total number of studies dealing with analysed issues was 359. In total 19 different factors of the interest were identified., The most frequently investigated factors were life-style ones (54.7 %), especially risk factors, namely smoking. Decreasing trend of interest was found in life/housing conditions, while increasing trend in life-style factors comparing years 1998-2000.
