Optimizing treatment with risperidone long - acting injections
Original language description
The outcome could be improved by targeting RLAI treatment at specific patient groups and optimizing the dose. RLAI should be quickly titrated to an effective dose in patients known to be responsive to antipsychotic treatment. The high frequency of co medication in our sample indicates a certain level of pharmacoresistance. In spite of this, a significant decrease in concomitant medication was observed. Therapeutic drug monitoring is another possibility for optimizing treatment with RLAI.
