Background: The article presents results obtained within the project called IGA MZCR NF112078-4/2011. The first phase of the Project was focused on the choice of NIC interventions which are frequently used in surgical nursing practice. This contributionpresents information on whether the respondents` education, the specialization in surgery, their age, the number years after getting the qualification, the length of practical experience and the length of experience at a surgical unit influence the respondents` opinion of the frequency of interventions in the surgical nursing practice. Methods: The investigation used quantitative research methods. Questionnaires were used for collecting the data.
