Somatic cells can be reprogrammed by the Yamanaka factors Oct4, Sox2, Myc and Klf4 into pluripotent stem cells [1]. Previously, we have identified the activation domain 9aaTAD in the related SP, KLF and SOX activators [2, 3]. In this study, we searched for the 9aaTAD domains in Yamanaka factors, which are activators of transcription.
