New records of the beetles Danosoma fasciata (Linnaeus)(Coleoptera, Elateridae) and Peltis grossum (Linnaeus)(Coleoptera, Trogositidae) from the Bohemian Forest in Czech Republic.
Original language description
The study of beetles on the monitoring plots of the Šumava National Park resulted in record of two interesting species living in seminatural submontaneous and montaneous forests. The ontogenesis of these species depends on the presence of dead wood or fungi growing on dead wood. These species are distributed very sporadically in the central Europe and their abundance is declining in the last decades.
