Original language description
This chapter provides an analysis of the transition process that took place in two countries and its consequences for the marginalisation of agriculture and rural areas. The features of marginalisation are analysed, and their consequences for the rural economy are indicated. In the framework of the investigation an important role was assigned to the multifunctionality of land use and agriculture. Based on this analysis, some conclusions are formulated on how to cope with the marginalisation of agriculture and how to increase the viability of the Czech and Hungarian rural economies under transitional conditions.

V kapitole je provedena analýza přechodu od socialistického zemědělství k tržně ekonomickému způsobu v České republice a Maďarsku. Jsou analyzovány příčiny zemědělské marginalizace několika oblastí a dopad této marginalizace na místní ekonomiku. V závěrech jsou formulovány návrhy možných řešení pro vypořádání se s marginalitou, hlavně na základě multifunkčního využití území.
