Pictorial series of the manifestations of the dynamics of the Earth. 3. Historical images of landslides and rock falls.
Original language description
The terms landslide and rock fall express a transmission of rock masses on a slope due to gravity. Contrary to consequences of earthquakes and volcanic eruptions, the effects of landslides are usually restricted to a limited area, rarely exceeding few tens of square kilometers. The nature and occurrence - compared with earthquakes and volcanic explosions - are more easily understandable.
