Climate change in Kamchatka, evidence from the underground.
Original language description
Long-term climate changes are characterised by the variations in the mean annual air temperature, which further determine the ground temperature conditions on the Earth's surface. Temperature changes at the surface propagate downward and impart the thermal signature to the rocks that can be analysed to yield the ground surface temperature history.
