Initial description of multi-modal dynamic models.
Original language description
The paper describes a novel and promising technique for initiation of mixture-model parameter estimation. The technique is based on gradual splitting of components whenever there is a posssibility that a unimodal sub-model hide more modes. If the splitting implies improving, measured by likelihood function, the new component is accepted. Otherwise, it is canceled.
