We studied dynamics of a compact toroid in interplanetary space considering the diamagnetic force, gravity, and the drag force of the ambient solar wind. Magnetic cloud velocity profiles were calculated for different initial speeds using an expression ofthe diamagnetic force in purely toroidal coordinates.
