Fragmentation of the Current Sheet, Anomalous Resistivity, and Acceleration of Particles
Result description
The evolution of the current sheet in the electric current direction (in the guiding magnetic field direction) is studied numerically in the 3-D particle-in-cell model. A strong fragmentation of the current sheet was recognized. Simultaneously the anomalous resistivity was generated.
