Geophysical excitation of nutation - comparison of different models
Original language description
Most recent models of excitation of the nutation by geophysical fluids (atmosphere, oceans) are compared with the observed celestial pole offsets. It is shown that U.S. model NCEP/NCAR yields better agreement with observations than European models ERA/OMCT. The influence of geomagnetic jerks improves the agreement substantially.
