Geophysical fluids from different data sources, geomagnetic jerks, and their impact on Earth's orientation
Original language description
It is demonstrated that inclusion of excitation by geomagnetic jerks, in addition to atmospheric and oceanic excitation, improves the agreement between integrated and observed Earth orientation parameters improves substantially. It holds for all models of atmospheric/oceanic excitations studied, i.e., NCEP, MERRA, ERA (atmosphere), and ECCO, OMCT (oceans).
