The 17th Athena WFI Consortium Meeting brought together all consortium members involved in the development of the Wide Field Imager (WFI), one of the key scientific instruments for the upcoming ESA L-class mission, NewAthena. During the meeting, participants presented and discussed progress on the development of all major components of the WFI instrument. Updates covered both hardware and software subsystems, integration plans, and coordination between the various contributing institutions. The agenda also included a review of recent developments in the NewAthena mission overall, including mission-level changes and scheduling. Additionally, updates from the parallel detector development team of the X-IFU (X-ray Integral Field Unit) were shared.
