Cardioprotective effects of chronic hypoxia and ischaemic preconditioning are not additive.
Original language description
Cardioprotective effects of long-term adaptation to chronic hypoxia and short-term preconditioning are not additive. The combination of both protective phenomenons did not provide better protection than preconditioning alone. Results of this study are inline with our hypothesis that long-term and short-term protection may share the same protective pathways, at least in part.
