Original language description
Status epilepticus was induced by a single dose of pilocarpine in LiCl-pretreated adult Wistar rats. Cytochrome oxidase activity was mapped by optical density on sections stained with histochemistry separately in the rostral and caudal parts of the piriform cortex. It was found that damage of the piriform cortex is not homogeneous and thus that its parts are differently involved in epileptic activity

Czech description
Status epilepticus byl vyvolán jednorázovým podáním pilokarpinu dospělým potkanům, kterým byl předem injikován lithium chlorid. Aktivita cytochromoxidázy byla mapována jako optická densita histochemicky zpracovaných řezů rostrální a kaudální části piriformní kůry. Zjistili jsme, že poškození není homogenní a tedy že epileptická aktivita je různě vyjádřena v různých částech piriformní kůry
