    A marked decrease (~64%) of complex I activity was observed during the acute phase of seizures induced in immature rats by homocysteic acid and this decrease still persisted at 20 h of survival following seizures. Significant attenuation of this decreasewas achieved after application of substances providing an anticonvulsant effect and also with selected free radical scavengers

    Bylo prokázáno výrazné sníľení (~64%) aktivity mitochondriálního komplexu I v době akutní fáze křečí vyvolaných u mláďat laboratorního potkana kys. homocysteovou a tento pokles přetrvával i 20 h po ukončení záchvatů. Signifikantní protekce bylo dosaľenopo podání látek s antikonvulzivním účinkem a po aplikaci vybraných ?vychytávačů? volných radikálů
