    Single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWNT) suspended in the cell culture media lowered the number of human osteoblast-like MG 63 cells proportionally to the increasing SWNT concentration (0.4 to 4 mg/ml). However, the SWNT did not activate macrophages to release free radicals. When implanted in the rat muscle tissue, the SWNT were translocated to lymph nodes. No fibrous capsule was formed around the implants, and the tissue quickly regenerated

    Jednostěnné uhlíkové nanotrubičky (SWNT), suspendované v kultivačním médiu, snižovaly počet lidských kostních buněk MG 63 úměrně ke stoupající koncentraci SWNT (0.4 - 4 mg/ml). SWNT však neaktivovaly makrofágy k uvolňování volných radikálů. Po implantaciSWNT do svalové tkáně potkana se SWNT přesouvaly do lympfaticých uzlin. Okolo implantátů se nevytvářelo vazivové opouzdření a tkáň rychle regenerovala
