Thick tranverse sections of human muscles were immunohistochemically stained and captured by confocal microscope. The images were corrected for shrinkage, capillaries were segmented and measured. Capillaries from superficial layer of vastus lateralis hadhigher tortuosity than the capilaries from deep layer
