Variability Measures of Positive Random Variables
Original language description
We propose two measures of statistical dispersion, with the same units as the standard deviation, which are sensitive to distinct features of the probability density function, such as the overall spread or modes. We demonstrate the relevance of the newlyproposed measures both on standard distributions of interspike intervals, and also on experimental data from rat olfactory neurons
