Biochemical and electrophysiological characterization of N-glycans on NMDA receptor subunits

  • Original language description

Using deglycosylating enzymes and lectins we found that both GluN1 and GluN2B NMDAR subunits in the cerebellum are occupied by a wide diversity of N-glycans, including high-mannose, hybrid, and complex forms of N-glycans. Moreover, these N-glycans alter the biophysical properties of NMDARs.
