Extensive Permo-Carboniferous volcanism has been documented from the Bohemian Massif. The volcanics of both the Late Carboniferous and the Early Permian episodes range from entirely subalkaline (calc-alkaline to tholeiitic) of convergent plate margin-like type to transitional and alkaline of within-plate character. The volcanics of both episodes differ in intensities of Nb, Sr and P depletion and also, in part, in their isotope signatures.

Czech description

V Českém masívu byla ověřena přítomnost rozsáhlého permokarbonského vulkanismu. Vulkanity pozdně karbonského i ranně permského stáří se složením pohybují od vyloženě subalkalických (vápenato-alkalická až tholeiitická) z okrajů konvergentních desek k přechodným až alkalickým vnitrodeskového charakteru. Vulkanity obou episod se liší intensitou ochuzení o Nb, Sr a P a částečně též v izotopových charakteristikách.
