Fourteen of the graptolite biozones, previously recognised in the Llandovery succession of the Barrandian area of central Bohemia, have been identified in the heavily tectonized and poorly exposed, epizonal and contact metamorphic black slates and silicites of the Mrákotín Formation of the Hlinsko Zone. Graptolites were collected by bulk sampling of loose boulders. The sedimentary succession of the Mrákotín Formation has been reconstructed, in particular by detailed correlation with the biostratigraphically well dated, graptolite-rich successions in the Barrandian area and Thuringia. 112 graptolite species have been recorded, Pseudorthograptus finneyi sp. nov. was described. There is little difference between the graptolite faunas of the Hlinsko Zone and the Barrandian area, but the lithological successions of the two areas differ. Čtrnáct graptolitových biozón známých z oblasti Barrandienu bylo identifikováno v silně tektonizovaném, kontaktně metamorfovaném a nedostatečně odkrytém vrstevním sledu černých břidlic a silicitů mrákotínského sozvrství hlinské zóny. Graptolitový materíál byl získán převážně z izolovaných bloků z nichž každý představoval jeden objemový vzorek. Na základě korelace s vrstevními sledy Barrandienu a Durynska s bohatými a dobře datovanými graptolitovými faunami byl z izolovaných bloků a ojedinělých výchozů zrekonstruován vrstevní sled a litologický vývoj mrákotínského souvrství. Bylo zjištěno 112 druhů graptolitů a popsán nový druh Pseudorthograptus finneyi sp. nov. Mezi graptolitovými faunami hlinské zóny a Barrandienu jsou malé rozdíly, ale litologický vývoj je odlišný. V hlinské zóně je celé llandovery vyvinuto v podobě černých břidlic a silicitů které se zřejmě ukládaly v prostředí blízkém stejně starým souvrstvím sasko-durynské oblasti a Západních Sudet.
