Križna jama (SW Slovenia): Numerical- and correlated-ages from cave bear-bearing sediments
Original language description
Paleomagnetic and U-series analysis of two profiles of cave fill in Medvedji rov (Krizna jama, Slovenia) fully proved existence of two thanatocenoses with Ursus gr. spelaeus, one younger than 94 ka, one older than 94 ka. A total of four short-lived magnetic reverse excursions were discovered, one might be correlated with the Blake excursion and the lower ones are older than ca 190 ka. Sediments in the studied profiles were deposited during the Last Glacial (Weichselian), Eemian interglacial, Saalian glacial and Holsteinian interglacial.
