Libsplines is a small computer library and CLI-driven utility, written in ANSI C, to interpolate irregularly-sampled time series using cubic splines. Applicable in sclerochronology (growth bands in corals, stromatoporoid, molluscs, vertebrate bones and teeth, etc.), cyclostratigraphy, and magnetic-susceptibility stratigraphy. It is an alternative to widely used (in case of irregularly-sampled time series) linear interpolation methods. Applicable also in other areas, like data approximation, contouring,etc.
