Gagliardo-Nirenberg inequalities in regular Orlicz spaces involving nonlinear expressions
Original language description
We consider triples of Young functions satisfying standard growth conditions and corresponding Orlicz spaces with respect to polynomial weights. It is known that the multiplicative form of the Gagliardo-Nirenberg inequality cannot generally hold in Orlicz spaces, hence we tackle its additive version and show that it implies certain nonlinear variants of the usual multiplicative estimate known e.g. from Lebesgue spaces. We first study the case of first order derivatives and then we generalize the claimsto inequalities involving more general measures and higher order derivatives.
