Result description
For spherical pellets the pellet/column diameter==ratios (dp/dc) were in the range 0.57 ů 0.79; for cylindric==al pellets dp/dc = 0.52 ů 0.69 with pellet height/diameter r==atios H/D = 0.78 ů 1.5. With different tracer-gases and the ==same packing and column sizes analogous dependencies of Bode==nstein numbers, Bo (Peclet number, Pe, with pellet size, dp,== as characteristic dimension), versus the product of Reynold==s and Schmidt numbers, ReSc, were obtained.
