Original language description
Applying the formalism developed for thermal layers to dispersed layers, namely introducing the dispersed Rayleigh number, yields stability criterion in terms of critical particle concentration. Since the critical concentration is extractable from data,the criterion is experimentally testable. The results obtained so far go in favour of the above analogy between dispersed and thermal layers.
