The constant enthalpy - constant pressure Monte Carlo simulation method was applied for direct simulations of the Joule-Thomson expansion for difluoromethane. The molecular model employed was a five-sites potential with parameters derived from ab initiocalculations and vapor-liquid equilibrium data. Firstly, we have calculated final temperatures for cases of the Joule-Thomson expansion terminating either in single-phase or two-phase regions.
