    IR Laser-Induced Synthesis of Nanostructured Gemanium Telluride in the Gas Phase

    The gas phase synthesis and chemical vapour deposition of nano-structured germanium telluride was achieved for the first time. The pulsed IR laser irradiation of gaseous CH3)4Ge - (CH3)2Te - SF6 mixtures results in homogeneous decomposition of both organometallics and formation of GeTex (x = 1,2). The amorphous GeTe2 and crystalline GeTe were identified by Raman and x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and by electron diffraction. Their formation is explained by an intermediacy of Ge and Te clusters and byreaction between these clusters in a hot laser-induced zone.

    Poprvé bylo dosaženo syntézy nanostrukturovaných telluridů germania v plynné fázi a jejich chemické deposice. Ozařování plynných (CH3)4Ge - (CH3)2Te - SF6 směsí pulsním zářením IČ laseru vede k homogennímu rozkladu obou organokovových sloučenin a tvorběGeTex (x = 1,2). Amorfní GeTe2 a krystalický GeTe byly identifikovány Ramanovou a XP spektroskopií a elektronovou difrakcí. Jejich tvorba byla vysvětlena přechodným vznikem a reakcí shluků Ge a Te v horké zoně laserového svazku.
