    Bubbling Controlled by Needle Movement

  • Original language description

    A device for on-demand production of bubbles is presented. The device is based on a movable needle, through which air is injected. Bubbling is controlled by a rapid needle movement, which induces the bubble detachment. Conditions for proper function of the device include the limit on the flow rate through the needle, sufficient pressure drop of the needle and an adequate needle acceleration. Functionality of the device is demonstrated. Bubbling from a stationary needle is also discussed and a scaling for bubble size is provided for the case of short needles, to which a constant flow rate is imposed through tubes of a finite volume.

    Tvorba bublin řízená pohybem jehly

    Práce popisuje zařízení pro řízenou tvorbu bublin, které je založeno na pohybu jehly, skrze kterou se přivádí do kapaliny vzduch. Rychlým pohybem jehly je dosaženo odtrhu bubliny. Pro správnou funkci zařízení musí být splněny podmínky udávající maximálníprůtok vzduchu jehlou, dostatečná tlaková ztráta jehly a dostatečné zrychlení jehly. Práce demonstruje funkčnost zařízení. Dále je diskutována tvorba bublin na nepohyblivé jehle a je odvozen odhad velikosti bublin, které vznikají na krátké jehle, do které je vzduch přiváděn skrze trubičky o konečném objemu.
