Measurement and Correlation of alpha-Bisabolol Solubility in Near-Critical Carbon Dioxide
Original language description
The solubility of alpha-bisabolol, a sesquiterpene alcohol, in sub- and supercritical CO2 was measured at 313.2-333.2 K and 7.0-12.5 MPa by a dynamic method. The solubility was increasing with decreasing temperature and with increasing pressure. The maximum measured mole fraction of bisabolol was 0.009 at 313.2 K and 11.5 MPa. Thermophysical properties of bisabolol were estimated and the Soave-Redlich-Kwong equation of state was employed to correlate the experimental data.
