Effect of viscosity and surface tension on bubble swarm dynamics
Original language description
Aiming to make the bridge between the studies of bubble behaviour as single bubble and in bubble columns, the characteristics of bubble swarm in an aerated column with a low gas content were investigated. The influence of viscosity and surface tension on the bubble formation and bubble motion (size, shape, and velocity) were studied in aqueous solutions of glycerol, propanol or terpineol. Individual bubble motion data and collective bubble swarm data were compared in this study.
