Prediction of rheological behaviour of linear HDPE melts using molecular based constitutive equations
Original language description
Linear viscoelastic properties (storage G' and loss G'' moduli), transient shear viscosity, and transient first normal stress coefficient were measured using the Advanced Rheometric Expansion System (ARES 2000). Transient uniaxial elongational viscositywas obtained from the SER Universal Testing Platform (SER-HV-A01 model) which was attached to the ARES 2000 rotational rheometer. Steady state shear viscosity was measured on the capillary rheometer Rosand RH7-2 (Rosand Precision Ltd.). First and secondnormal stress coefficients were obtained with the help of Han?s method [3] where the capillary rheometer is equipped with a slot die. Application of the individual chosen constitutive models for description of HDPE rheological behaviour is discussed.
