A remark to the tube theory

  • Original language description

The classical Doi-Edwards model with Independent Alignment (IA) approximation represents a basic issue for tube theories. In this contribution there is presented alternative approach not taking into account the IA approximation. Under external deformation the polymer sample molecules are deformed affinely, consequently they retract but do not preserve their direction. The end-to-end vector of a molecule after retraction becomes distributed with a certain probability. This probability is calculated usinggeometrical considerations of retracting motion.
