Analysis of saltating motion of individual spherical particles
Original language description
Based on an image processing two-dimensional saltation movements of spherical particles in an open channel were analyzed and the linear and angular velocity components of the individual particles were determined. The experimental data of particle trajectories and particle velocities were compared with the theoretical results derived from the equations of particle movement. Spherical particles of two different densities were used.
