  • Original language description

    Methods for the characterization and a numerical model of Er/Yb codoped fibres for power fibre amplifiers and lasers are presented. The numerical model is based on an iterative solution of the fibre propagation and the laser rate equations. The parameters of doping are obtained from the measurements of the saturation at a specific wavelength in the Er/Yb doped fibre by fitting the measured curves of the absorption saturation using the developed theoretical model.
