Speech spectrum smoothing by homomorphic processing.
Original language description
Recent parametric speech synthesis systems using e.g. linear prediction, sinusoidal/harmonic models or cepstral synthesis are based on spectral modelling. For the construction of the vocal tract model a reliable envelope of the speech spectrum must be estimated. In the case of female or child voices with high fundamental frequency there exist some problems with the smoothing of the speech spectrum. The contribution summarizes several approaches based on homomorphic signal processing.
