    It has been that an electromagnetic wave corresponding to the second harmonic transmitted through a dual periodic photonic crystal possessing x (2) second harmonic nonlinearity exhibits a profound difference in output intensity depending on the directionof the propagation and therefore such a system appears to be siutable in the design of a frequency doubler of electromagnetic wave what allows propagation of the wave on one directions a forbids the propagation in the opposite direction.
