Dual resonance in a waveguide-coupled ring microresonator

Result description

Coupling to a bus guide breaks the rotational symmetry of an isolated ring or disk microresonator. As a result, the degeneracy of sine and cosine azimuthal modes is lifted, and two resonant frequencies occur. It is shown that this effect can be easily described by taking back-reflections in the coupler into account.

    Vazba s vlnovodem narušuje rotační symetrii izolovaného kruhového prstencového nebo diskového mikrorezonátoru. V důsledku toho přestávají být vlastní vidy se sinovou a kosinovou azimutální závislostí degenerované, a vznikají tak dvě rezonanční frekvence.V článku ukazujeme, že tento efekt je možno snadno popsat tím, že vezmeme v úvahu zpětné odrazy od vazební oblasti.
