Original language description
We investigated sub-wavelength and leaky-mode resonant gratings made on fibre facets.nThese gratings are used as polarization dependent low and high modal reflectance mirrors,nrespectively. Modal reflectances of about 95% and polarization extinction ratios ofnabout 18 dB can be achieved in leaky-mode resonance gratings. Influence of gratingnfabrication imperfections on modal reflectance is discussed
