Four types of orthogneisses-like rocks can be distinguished in the Czech part of the Moldanubian Zone. The most significant are leucocratic muscovite, silimanite, tourmaline and garnet-bearing orthogneisses with peraluminous character and low content ofCaO, Ba and Sr.
