Constrains of classification of two-mica granites in the Moldanubian batholith.

  • Original language description

The evolution of individual granite subtypes of the two-mica granites in the Moldanubian batholith is marked by variability in their mineral and chemical composition which has been caused either by different composition of protoliths or by different degree of partial melting. The lower proportion of REE and Zr in some of the granites, particularly in those of the Deštná and Lásenice subtypes is attributable to lower solubility of monazite, xenotime and zircon in granitic melt by lower temperature of granite melt.
