Original language description
Tributaries of the River Neretva and surrounding karstic fields (polje) in Bosnia and Herzegovina were sampled for spined loaches and its occurrence recorded. Two species, Cobitis narentana and Cobitis sp., were determined. This suggests that the speciesdiversity of the spined loaches in the studied area might be underestimated.

Czech description
Studie přinesla nové informace týkající se výskytu sekavcovitých ryb v přítocích řeky Neretvy a v okolní krasové oblasti. Byly identifikovány dva druhy, Cobitis narentana a Cobitis sp., což ukazuje na vyšší druhovou diverzitu studované oblasti než bylo dosud známo.
