Original language description
Breast cancer (BC) is the second-most common cause of cancer-related deaths and it is caused by metastatic BC (MBC). This chapter stresses the inadequate success of traditional therapies as well as the use of nanomedicine for treating BC. An overview of nanomedicines applied inBC therapy is summarized with their present status, which is attaining attention in the pre-clinically as well as clinically applied landscape. Here we highlight the biology of MBC, the nanomaterial used for BC. Furthermore, the types, strategies and challenges in preclinical and clinical trials are explored in detail.
