An atteemt is made to sumarize pollen-analytical data available so far from the Czech Republic. In total, 64 pollen profiles are studied and reviewed. The goal is reconstruction of vegetation zonation, deforestation, and the development of cultural landscape. Vegetation/cultural interactions are accentuated.

Czech description
Kapitola se zabývá zhodnocením 64 moderních pylových diagramů dostupných z území České republiky a pocházejících od různých autorů. Cílem přehledu je rekonstrukce vegetační zonace, chronologie odlesnění a vývoje kulturní krajiny. Zdůrazněny jsou zejménaaspekty zpětnovazebné interakce mezi vegetací a kulturou.
