The collection of skeletons from the Kladruby Monastery is remarkable because of the incidence of pathological bone deviations. This collection of 111 skeletons shows a high frequency of hyperostotic changes on bones, corresponding to infliction by DISH? diffuse idiopathic skeletal hyperostosis; these changes are interesting because they cannot be ascribed to genetic transmission but only to the influence of living conditions.

Czech description

Soubor koster z kláštera v Kladrubech je pozoruhodný výskytem patologických změn na kostech. V kolekci 111 koster je patrná vysoká frekvence výskytu změn odpovídajících DISH - difusní idiopatické skeletální hyperostóze. U výskytu onemocnění v souboru nemůžeme předpokládat vliv příbuznosti jedinců, ale pravděpodobný je vliv společných životních podmínek.
